Missiles are targeted at cities across the United States.&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The US having developed \u2018Star Wars\u2019 \u2013 the \u2018Iron Dome\u2019 laser guided defence system works brilliantly. Nearly all of the nuclear missiles are destroyed. One however, gets through the cordon protecting Washington DC.&nbsp;The bomb explodes, its mushroom cloud of doom climbing into the sky. But then something extraordinary happens.&nbsp;Into this&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/melee.dk\/\"><em>volatile situation<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;comes Jack who is discovered taking a stroll around town during the nuclear storm. Subsequently involved in the resuscitation of two power workers who are pronounced dead after a city-wide electrical accident, Jack\u2019s profile continues to rise when he saves twenty-eight men and women buried underground in a West Virginian mining disaster.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disturbed by the nuclear attack on their country and the fact that there was no radiation fallout from the bomb that pierced their defence cordon, the American public&nbsp;begin to wonder if some power greater than mammon didn\u2019t have a hand in their recent survival.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuclear angel or shaman \u2013 Jack never purports to being anything other than someone who finds himself in a particular place at a particular time apparently possessing extraordinary powers. But the controversy he causes poses society fundamental questions.
